PEP Awarded VETS Medallion Program Contract

PEP Awarded Veteran’s Employment and Training Services (VETS) Medallion Program Contract for Application Support Services

In September 2020, Performance Excellence Partners (PEP) was selected by the U.S. Department of Labor on behalf of the Veteran’s Employment and Training Services (VETS) to provide analytical, implementation, and applicant engagement support services for the HIRE Vets Act, specifically the HIRE Vets Medallion Program.

The VETS Medallion program grants the ‘‘HIRE Vets Medallion Award’’ to recognize the efforts of employers who recruit, employ, and retain veterans; and who provide community and charitable services that support the veteran community.

PEP will support the entire Hire Vets Medallion Program application process. PEP personnel will manage the receipt and processing of applications; review submissions and evaluate them against Government selection criteria; identify application errors and omitted documents and engage with applicants to submit missing information; recommend businesses deserving of award selection; and provide administrative support for the Secretary of Labor’s HIRE Vets Medallion Awards program ceremony and awards presentation.

The overall mission of VETS is to meet the employment, training, and job security needs of Americans who have served in uniform. It serves veterans, service members, and their spouses by preparing them for meaningful careers, providing them with employment resources and expertise, protecting their employment and reemployment rights, and promoting their employment opportunities.

PEP, a management consulting firm with 20 years of service to federal clients, has established itself as a trusted partner at DOL and other federal agencies. In addition to this contract, PEP was recently awarded two contracts with the DOL Office of Job Corps and one with the U.S. Coast Guard. PEP is also performing work as a prime contractor for the Department of Justice (DOJ), Human Resources Division, and for the National Science Foundation (NSF), Division of Human Resources Management. PEP is a subcontractor on several projects for DOL and the United States Air Force.

Previous PEP contracts include more than 144 complex, multi-task workforce development projects, including 54 DOL prime contracts. PEP has also served the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Cyber Security and Communications; the DOL Women’s Bureau; and the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Family Assistance, to name a few. PEP was named 2013 Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year by the Department of Energy.
