Technical Assistance (TA)
Empowering employment programs.
PEP clients benefit enormously from our versatility, our collaborative approach, and our 20 years of experience providing technical assistance and supporting federally funded grantees. Customer Successes:
Managed the design, testing, and launch of the HUB Performance Reporting system, supporting both the Program Office and the 120 H-1B grantees in its use. PEP staff assessed TA needs and possible delivery methods before developing a variety of training programs and TA resources, including group webinars, electronic TA resources, and one-on-one assistance. TA also resulted in an increase in the on-time and accurate submission of grantee performance reports and, ultimately, enabled grantees to train more participants and place them in employment.
“Excellent quality management and staff. Delivered on time, within budget with quality results.”
Increased the capacity of 72 reentry workforce development grantees through the delivery of customized TA services, including one-on-one coaching, virtual meetings and webinars, customized trainings, the dissemination of grantee lessons learned, and 25 high-quality written TA resources such as program and resource mapping toolkits, success story compilations, guides, and handbooks. Facilitation of the Federal Agency Partnership initiative led to collaboration across 13 Agencies. DOL staff, grantees, and other stakeholders benefited from crosswalks of resources developed by other agencies serving the same populations. The program office benefited from PEP’s ongoing data analysis, assessments, and recommendations, gaining a greater understanding of grantee challenges.
“[PEP] consistently conducted business in a professional, responsive manner, delivering high-quality products, services, and recommendations that demonstrated a high level of knowledge, experience, resourcefulness, commitment to excellence, and performance-driven outcomes focus.”
Expanded workforce development capacity for the Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) program grantees, increased access to information, and facilitated more effective peer-to-peer interaction. Through the design of customized Grantee Program Maps, PEP assisted the 32 HPOG grantees in identifying labor market needs, developing training approaches, and interacting with employers. This enabled grantees to more effectively plan and manage their programs and help participants develop healthcare careers. PEP also led the design and development of an enhanced Sec. 508 compliant website and collaborative platform that facilitated peer networking and learning. Group TA events included webinars and annual grantee meetings as well as in-person and virtual regional roundtables.
“PEP has been creative, hard working, and responsive to the needs of our office…In particular, the [PEP staff] exemplified dynamic leadership and dedication.”
